Izmir University of Economics’ support to ‘Peace Spring’

Prof. Murat Aşkar, Rector of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) stated that the University supports Turkey’s Operation Peace Spring against terror organizations. Pointing out the importance of the Operation Peace Spring in terms of security of the country, Prof. Aşkar said, “Our hearts and thoughts are with the brave Turkish soldiers who are defending our country in Turkey’s Operation Peace Spring against the terrorists in the Northeast Syria.”

Prof. Aşkar indicated that as Izmir University of Economics, they would continue to support the state and the nation as they always have. The Rector stated the following: “Our country declared its determination and firm stand in fighting terrorism to whole world with Operation Peace Spring once again. Turkey did not stand idle by the terror organizations that target innocent people, and are the biggest obstacles in establishing a secure and peaceful environment in the region; and did its share as the voice of common sense and peace. As Izmir University of Economics Community, we support our state and nation all the way on Operation Peace Spring, which will eliminate the terror threat that is very important for the safety of our country. We have no doubt that our glorious army will complete this operation successfully as well, and our brave soldiers will make life unbearable for terrorists in the region. Our thoughts and prayers are for our brave soldiers, who do not hesitate even for a second to sacrifice their lives for the well-being of the Turkish Nation.”
