Opportunity to self-improve at İzmir University of Economics
Those, who want to self-improve in business world, will be able to receive training from the international experts at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). A certificate program is now available with the collaboration of Izmir University of Economics Continuous Education Center (CEC) and Pearson Professional.
The participants will qualify to receive certificates from both universities with distance training courses from experts from universities such as Harvard, Cambridge, Berkeley, MIT, and Maryland, and face-to-face training courses at IUE CEC.
An introductory meeting has been held at Izmir Chamber of Commerce with the participation of Bülent Korgen and Sezai Çakmak, Vice Presidents of Izmir Chamber of Commerce Education and Health Foundation, Suat Özdağ, Member of IZTO Council, Prof. Dr. Levent Eren, Advisor to the IUE Rector, Can Mindek, Director of Pearson Turkey, and Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Oruç Ertürk, Director of IUE CEC.

Pearson Turkey Director Can Mindek stated that internationalization in business life is unavoidable. Mindek said, “Today’s employees come across a new piece of information every day. IUE CEC Director Assoc. Prof. Nesrin Oruç Ertürk reported that Izmir University of Economics would provide face-to-face training whereas various other universities would provide distance training. Assoc. Prof. Ertürk stated that they would be offering training on subjects such as data science, learning leadership, artificial intelligence, etc. “Asst. Prof. Kutluhan Erol, Prof. Dr. Türker İnce, Lecturer Burçin Önder, and Prof. Dr. Coşkun Küçüközmen from Izmir University of Economics will provide the training courses. In addition, experts from universities such as Harvard, Boston, and Cambridge will provide distance education. Individuals, who want to self-improve in the areas of financial literacy, new learning methods, artificial intelligence and many more, and who want to make a difference in the world of business are strongly recommended to attend these courses.”
