ATİLLA ÜNER, TOLD THE SUCCESS STORY OF SAFKAR

Atilla Üner emphasized the fact that entrepreneurship, insistence and luck had important role in business life and said “While making electrics work in Çiğli in 35m2 area, I decided to go into cooling business. Only 7 buses had air-conditioner at that time. I went to İstanbul. I had meetings there. I examined the ones in Ulusoy. I produced with German replacement parts and installed the 8th one with my own hands. They called from the company in Germany. They came, analyzed and they offered distributorship to us while we were expecting them to say “No Good”. We found a partner for service. Thus, we enlarged our business and started to send to especially Iraq. We learned everything about cooling. Later we left the partnership and continued on our own.”

Atilla Üner stated that they hit bottom due to Gulf war and said “I did not have enough money to buy bread. I went to work in the morning. There was a luxury car at the door, one of our former distributers in Gaziantep and an Arab got out of the car. They were there to give an order. While I was thinking how to buy material, the man gave 100 thousand dollars earnest-money. That order became an establishment where 400 people work today. Luck has an important role in business life and private life. It is in your hands to use it.”

Today, the business world is crueler said Attila Üner, and continued “Do not give up your entrepreneur spirit, and go after your ideas. Today the business life is very cruel. We managed something without any capital however, it is impossible today. Use your chances very cleverly, because chance goes to the people who chase it. Make use of these days, do not be contented with what your teachers say, study hard to take what is inside their brains.”
