STUDENTS GRADUATE SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES IN IZMIR CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES

Healthcare professionals will be able to improve their occupational skills at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). Decision on the establishment of IUE Graduate School of Health Sciences was approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the Cabinet meeting. The graduate programs “Reproductive Biology”, "Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety", "Occupational Health and Safety", "Health Institutions Management" within the grad school will begin in spring semester. The initial meeting of Graduate School of Health Sciences applications will be taken between the dates of January 7-20.

Ekrem Demirtaş, President of IUE Board of Trustees, indicated that Izmir would be training individuals who would represent Turkey in the field of health. Demirtaş pointed out the importance of health education in terms of Izmir’s breakthrough in health tourism.

‘Izmir will become health tourism capital’

President Demirtaş, who said they would be contributing to the improvement of health services in Izmir, stated the following:

"You will find a dynamic, innovative door opening to your future and your researches in the field of health with the programs to be offered by Graduate School of Health Sciences. We will initially engage graduate programs that focus on training health managers in the best way possible, and increasing the quality. We will be making a fast entry for Izmir to get a bigger share from health tourism.  Our purpose is to make Izmir become health tourism capital. Our city has this potential, and our education programs will ensure efficient use of that potential."
