FULL SCHOLARSHIP FROM HOLLAND GOVERNMENT FOR THE HONOR STUDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY
Izmir University of Economics, Department of Business Administration and Department of International Trade and Finance dual diploma student Melek Akın became the honor student of Izmir University of Economics. Akın got the full scholarship of Holland Government, Ministry of Culture and Science and she will study in the graduate program of RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam, which has been chosen as the best univeristy of Holland, and the 30th best university of the world by the Financial Times in 2007. Akın will study Supply Chain Management and all her expenses including travel, dormitory, and education will be covered by Holland Government.
Akın stated that the education she got from Izmir University of Economics was very effective in her admission to the university, she said. “I got the chance to research everything with the help of the laptop computer given to me in the very beginning of the university education. It is also a very good opportunity for me to have the courses in English and to have learned German as the second foreign language.” Akın said that her transcript, her level in international language examinations and the references of the academicians were taken into consideration while attaining the scholarship.
Melek Akın will turn back to Turkey after her one-year graduate education and she is planning to use her academic knowledge in business life.
