International Students’ Conference at IUE
70 students from distinguished universities of America, England, France, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, India and Turkey participate in the 3rd International Students’ Conference organized by Izmir University of Economics, The Izmir Congress of Economics Research Center. The postgraduate students of Harvard and Cornell Universities from America, Cambridge University from England, and Maastricht University from The Netherlands together with the students of METU, Bilkent, Marmara, Dokuz Eylül, Yıldız Teknik, Doğuş and Izmir University of Economics from Turkey will give out 40 notices regarding social, economic and current events.
Izmir University of Economics, Manager of The Izmir Congress of Economics Research Center Asst. Prof. İ.Hakan Yetkiner said that the conference has attracted attention on the international stage and they received more than 300 notice applications, stating “We are glad to see that students from the most distinguished universities of the world show an interest in International Students’ Conference. It was hard to make a choice from the notices. We tried to choose the most current and applicable ones.”
In The 3rd International Students’ Conference, subjects such as; “Political Violence”, “Rise of Foreign Capital in Developing Countries”, “Inflation in Turkey”, “Social Dialog Models”, Effects of Poverty in Soil Conservation Investments in Nepal Case”, “Unemployment in Turkey: Reasons and Solutions” will be discussed on Friday, April 13, 2007 at Izmir University of Economics Conference Hall.
