THIS TIME, IUE STUDENTS PREPARED “CANLI GASTE”
Can Dündar came to İzmir to attend the project course given by Prof. Dr. Bülent Çaplı at the Faculty of Communication and he shared her professional experiences about journalism and television with the fourth grade students. Dündar stated that September 12 was the turning point for his life as a journalist and said, “At the beginning of 1970s when I first started this profession I saw how difficult it was to be a university graduate journalist. In those times, being a self-educated journalist was more important. That is why I became both a self-educated and schooled journalist. I was in the third grade at the university in September 12 period. This period changed both my destiny and the destiny of the profession. It was a turning point for journalism. At the end of the 80s, I was transferred to television from journalism. I made documentaries and TV programs. I also continued writing.”
Can Dündar shared the difficulties and details of the profession and later he prepared “Canlı Gaste" made up of the news of the day with the students.
