Workshop: Blackboard Learn - Introduction

Overview: This workshop is designed for instructors new to Blackboard Learn. It will provide a hands-on introduction to the features of Blackboard – IUE’s learning management system (LMS).

Option 1: Monday, November 2, 2015 (09.00 am - 12.00 pm)

Option 2: Friday, November 6, 2015 (09.00 am - 12.00 pm)

Learning Objectives: By the end of this workshop participants will be able to

• navigate the Blackboard environment
• create course menu
• create and organize course content
• share documents and other content
• post a syllabus
• create announcements
• navigate the course control panel
• use basic communication tools

Requirements:  As this workshop is designed to be a hands-on session, participants are recommended to

• have their OASIS username and password to login to Blackboard
• bring along a laptop
• bring digital sample copies of their syllabus and other course materials
