Izmir represented at Milan design week
Assoc. Prof. Osman Demirbaş, Lecturer at Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), represented Turkey at Milan Design Week. Assoc. Prof. Demirbaş attended the “Designing Spaces Changing Lives” themed panel at the event IFI@Salone co-organized by the International Federation of Interior Architects – IFI and Scacchetti Associati Architecture Studio.
Assoc. Prof. Demirbaş, an IFI Ambassador, was one of the six invited speakers at the panel where he represented both IUE and the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB). “Sociological, environmental and economic factors in contemporary interior architecture education needs to be addressed particularly. We need to educate intellectual young designers with high sensitivity, high awareness and skills to touch human life in a positive sense,” indicated Assoc. Prof. Demirbaş.
