Socrative is a free online student response system that offers a simple and friendly experience to teachers to engage and assess their students through user-created polls and quizzes. Teachers can carry out formative assessments and gather real time data to inform instruction through quizzes, quick question polls, exit tickets and space races with this app. Its set-up is easy, and student responses can be gathered from various platforms (web, mobile, iOS, Android).

Poll Everywhere is a web-based audience response system which allows presenters or teachers to create and launch polls/questions and collect real time feedback on presented content from any mobile device via SMS, Twitter, and the Web. It can be used to gather ideas, test knowledge or canvas the opinion of a group of students. Poll Everywhere is free for a maximum of 40 people.

Kahoot! is a game-based student response system which allows teachers to quizzes. Questions, and answer choices are projected onto a classroom screen and students enter the game pin to submit responses using a mobile device. Kahoot can be used as a tool for conducting formative assessment, collecting student opinion and/or sparking interesting interest at the beginning of a topic/unit.

AnswerGarden  is another tool for creating short answer polls. It can be used as a feedback or brainstorming tool in the classroom. Teachers create an Answer Garden by entering a topic or question and student responses are displayed as word clouds.

TubeChop is a simple video cropping tool.  It allows you to take any YouTube video and easily chop the fragment you find interesting or relevant and share with your class. If you often use videos from YouTube as part of your teaching, you can save time with TubeChop. It prevents you from wasting time in class playing the whole video or scrolling through the video to find the exact moment you need.

Biteable is a web-based tool that allows you to create beautiful animated videos in a matter of minutes. Biteable has a wide array of templates and animation styles to choose from. You can simply select the styles and edit the text, colors, photos, and music. is a free educational games site for teaching microeconomics, industrial organization and game theory.

Choose the game you want to run, enter the number of players and that's it. You just have to communicate their logins to your students and have them connect to the site with their phones, tablets or laptops. You can then observe and debrief the game through your interface.
