PRACTICLE TIPS
Stating that they offer practical tips to companies in the book, Dean, Prof. Dr. Burcu Güneri Çangarlı said, “The pandemic period, which we call the most difficult period in recent years, has reduced its effect. Maybe we have returned to our regular lives to a large extent, but we still feel the effects of the problems in the raw material, food and supply chain that started with the pandemic. Our book is a guide for businesses to get through the difficult times they are experiencing. It is a guide not only for the Covid-19 pandemic, but also for new problems that may occur in the coming years. 17 academics, who are experts in their fields, have transferred their years of research and experience to this book. There are simple and understandable information and practical tips on many important issues from logistics to human resources, from innovation to finance in our book.”
MANY BUSINESSES TURNED THE CRISIS INTO OPPORTUNITY
Mentioning the contribution they want to make with the book, Lecturer Taylan Özgür Demirkaya said, “The most damaging factor of difficult periods and crises is uncertainty. In such times, businesses can be exposed to many complex and loaded information from the milieu. Unexpected crises such as the pandemic bring important opportunities as well as causing losses for businesses. Most of the global brands that we know today and that continue their lives successfully started their life in the framework of war, famine, pandemic and financial crises. Many businesses continued to grow, turning crises into a transformational opportunity. In times of crisis, the first things businesses do is cost reduction, layoffs, reducing operations, delaying innovation activities and R&D. It may be difficult to say that these behaviors bring positive results. Therefore, in times of crisis, it is necessary to look at the business from an angle of 360 degrees. This book contains information covering all these topics.”
