VACCINE IS THE GREATEST POWER WE HAVE
Prof. Dr. Filiz Öğce, Dean of IUE Faculty of Health Sciences, said that the way to get rid of the Covid-19 pandemic as soon as possible is to be vaccinated. Prof. Dr. Öğce said, “We have been fighting the pandemic for over a year. Recently, developments in vaccination both in our country and around the world have increased our hope even more. However, we still see that there are some people who are not vaccinated although it is their turn or have reservations about this issue. Vaccination is the biggest power we have against the pandemic. It is obvious that the vaccine has a protective effect against the virus. We must complete the vaccination process quickly, without hesitation. As the faculty, we organized many activities during the Nursing Week to raise awareness about vaccination and organized a competition together with IUE Medical Park Hospital.”
MORE PROJECTS TO COME
Prof. Dr. Öğce continued as follows: “Applicants from various cities such as Bingöl, Kocaeli, Mersin and Sakarya participated in our competition in addition to Izmir. We asked the applicants to make posters and animations to raise awareness about vaccination. Very good projects came out. We awarded smart wristbands, computer bags and stethoscopes to the winners. We will use the award-winning animations and posters in our work in the upcoming period. The competition we organized for the first time this year has been a nice experience and excitement for us. We are also working on new projects; we will continue to organize such events.”
