“We take our students’ requests into consideration”
Prof. Murat Borovalı, Consultant to IUE Board of Trustees (General Coordinator) stated that the University followed the latest technology and the necessities of the time. Prof. Borovalı said, “The University is going through changes all the time. This way, we are able to offer our students all the facilities and means they need throughout their education. We also take their requests and recommendations into consideration always. This helps academics and students to be in harmony, and makes them happy. We are very proud to be qualified as an ‘A Plus’ university in a survey conducted by UNIAR. We will continue to develop projects and work for our students henceforward.”
Prof. Borovalı reported that they improved the means and facilities offered to students and they started to take bolder steps forward, which was immediately noticed among the young people. “Campus Izmir, first model of university-city integration in Turkey, attracted great attention among young people. We saw the proof of that in the numbers as soon as the university placement results were announced. Last year, the University welcomed 1.736 new students in undergraduate and associate programs, and this year will be welcoming 2 thousand 6 more students. The University increased its number of students 16% compared to a year ago. This is a very significant increase. Izmir University of Economics Community is growing bigger. With that, our responsibility is growing as well. We are aware that we undertake an important role as the University for the development of both our country and city. We will continue to work to become one of the best universities in Europe,” said Prof. Borovalı.
