SOCIAL MEDIA OUTBURST IN GENDER/VIOLENCE CONFERENCE
The social media participants got together at the International Gender/Violence conference which is organized by Izmir University of Economics, Gender and Women Studies Research and Application Centre (EKOKAM) for the third time.
The conference, supported by Faculty of Communication, Şapka Team, was moved to digital platform through social channels such as Facebook and Twitter. There was a separate seating arrangement for social media users for the first time at the conference.
There were updated information, live stream, and radio links on the Facebook page of the activity whereas the tweets by the students appeared on the Twitter page. These tweets were projected to barcovision during the 3 daylong conferences thus giving the participants a chance to follow the parallel sessions in progress. People who could not attend the conference had the opportunity to follow it closely.
