Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Vocational School came together with the guidance teachers of high schools in Izmir on Friday, 29 June 2018.
IUE Vocational School lecturers held an interactive training on “Basics of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)”. Following the training, lecturers of Furniture & Decoration Program of IUE Vocational School held a workshop on Pyrogravure (the art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks) where guidance teachers engraved their names on wooden name plaques that were later on gifted to them.
The new Board of Trustees held its first meeting at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), which was established in 2001 by Izmir Chamber of Commerce Education and Health Foundation (ITO) at the initiative of Izmir Chamber of Commerce (IZTO). Mahmut Özgener, President of the Executive Board of ITO Education and Health Foundation, has been elected as the new President of IUE Board of Trustees by unanimous vote at the meeting.
Urban designs of young architects of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) collected awards in England. Students of IUE Department of Architecture, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, who represented Izmir with two different projects at “FABFEST” design festival hosted by University of Westminster in London, came in first and third in the category of architectural detail analysis, came in third in architectural design and architectural detail solution, and third in material usage.

2018 graduates of Izmir University of Economics (IUE) entered the business world. One thousand 495 students, who have completed the 2017 – 2018 Academic Year successfully, were awarded their diplomas at the ceremony that took place at IUE Amphitheatre. At the end of the ceremony, the graduates proudly threw their caps into the air as they sang the 10th Year March.
Future engineers learned about introduction to topics such as machine learning, robot development, medical physics, etc. from its experts. 30 students rolled their sleeves up to become scientists of the future at TESLA Lab of Faculty of Engineering; Izmir University of Economics (IUE) within the “Dâhilerin Gözünden Bilim ve Teknoloji (Science and Technology through the Eyes of the Geniuses)” titled TUBITAK Project developed by Bornova Anadolu High school (BAL).
Children will be acquainted with science at Izmir University of Economics (IUE). Kindergarten and elementary school students will develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills with the “Düşlerle Bilim (Imaginative Science)” project. 80 preschool and 80 elementary school students from Izmir will attend the training course that will take between the dates of 30 July – 10 August.
